Some employees at UBS Wealth Management USA are likely to experience a change in how they are compensated, according to a report from AdvisorHub. The change will probably impact the divisional managers of UBS U.S. Wealth business's three divisions, as well as branch managers, complex managers and home-office staff. According to AdvisorHub, the employees will receive a decrease in bonuses which will be offset by an increase in salary. According to an individual AdvisorHub spoke to, the changes would be "compensation neutral."
The compensation changes will be retroactive to January 2020. Those change will not impact the 6,000 UBS advisors in the United States. As reported by AdvisorHub, bonuses can make up 60% of total compensation for UBS managers.
Earlier in October, UBS announced that it would be paying an extra week's worth of salary to approximately 25,000 employees worldwide as a thank you for their work during the pandemic.
