CFP Board Launches New Ad Campaign

April 11th, 2023, 10:57 AM

The Certified Financial Planner Board (CFP Board) has begun running a new advertisement campaign following the Board's decision to grant the organization flexibility in its marketing methods.

In January, the CFP Board decided to divide the organization, creating a 501(c)(3) to focus on research, scholarship, and diversity and a 501(c)(6) formed to credential financial advisors. The CFP Board hopes that the new ad campaign will leverage the increased flexibility of the 501(c)(6).

The ad campaign can be seen on television, digital streaming, and audio platforms. CEO Kevin Keller told WealthManagmenet.com that because of the Board's recent split, advertisements moving forward would have the freedom to promote financial benefits to clients and advisors.
